Black Dog Ride

A small group turned up on Sunday to travel to Helensvale and participate in the Black Dog Ride 2017.

It was a dedicated bunch GT, Mr Do Bee (ride leader), Cackles (behind the camera), Brian & Loz who left our usual spot just after 8.30am and headed down to Helensvale.

While we were probably all thinking we would get absolutely drenched, as we rode down the freeway the skies cleared in front of us and there was not a drop of rain.

When we arrived at the meeting point, there were a fair few bikes already there, and while I am sure their numbers where down due to weather I would estimate there was still 100-150 bikes.

We head out of Helensvale on time and the ride took us through some beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland – lush green hills, shady trees and for no more than 5 min in total were we lightly rained on.

Once at the final destination GT decided he would pop inside and take a look at the car show, while Mr Do Bee, Cackles, Brian and Loz drove to Jimboomba for lunch at the pub.

After lunch we headed off home. All in all it was a lovely day, despite small bouts of rain throughout.
